Education Committee Member

Committee members develop and implement education programs and activities which will allow members to build upon their education and experience and develop their abilities and knowledge throughout their nursing careers. Responsible for providing chapter members with quality nursing courses that fulfill CE requirements, adding value to their membership.

If you enjoy creating continuing education opportunities shared through webinars,, we would love to have you join us!  

Commitment:  Monthly committee meetings, attendance at 3-5 events a year.

Leadership Internship

The Nu Upsilon Chapter Internship is focused on enhancing administrative and leadership experiences for the selected intern.  The internship will focus on the skills, knowledge, and abilities needed to lead a nursing organization in fulfillment of the mission of the GCU Nu Upsilon Chapter of SIGMA. Students must be in good academic standing..

This is a remote internship opportunity. There is a potential for face-to-face meetings with leaders if you are in the same geographical area.

Commitment:  Minimum 6 months with a potential option to extend to up to 12 months

Membership Engagement Committee Member

Membership engagement is where it's at!  Members needed for the Membership Engagement Committee.  The Nu Upsilon Membership Engagement Committee needs people who are willing to work at planning opportunities for our members to engage with each other and our chapter. This committee plans and implements events and encourages members to participate

If you enjoy building relationships and planning engaging and inspiring events, we would love to have you join us!  

Commitment:  Monthly committee meetings, attendance at 3-5 events a year.

Scholarly Awards Committee Member

This needs people who are willing to review Academic Scholarship applications, as well as Research Grant/Dissemination applications. Nu Upsilon has an organized and simple digital procedure both for applicants and committee members as well.

If you enjoy reviewing scholarly awards, building relationships and planning engaging and inspiring events, we would love to have you join us!

Commitment:  3-5 committee meetings a year, reviewing academic scholarship applications once a year, and reviewing an average of 3-5 research grant/dissemination applications a year as they come in.
