GCU has an impressive Nursing Program and invites a few thousand students, all the way from BSN to the DNP program, that meet the honor society requirements each year. If you have met the qualifications below, you will receive and invite directly from Sigma.
All eligible candidates would have received this email with all info needed for membership and inductions.
Undergraduate students must
- have completed ½ (one half) of the nursing curriculum;
- achieve academic excellence (at schools where a 4.0 grade point average system is used, this equates to a 3.0 or higher);
- rank in the highest 35 percent of the graduating class in scholarship;
- meet the expectation of academic integrity.
Registered nurse students must
- have completed 12 credit hours at current school;
- have completed ½ (one half) of the nursing curriculum;
- achieve academic excellence (at schools where a 4.0 grade point average system is used, this equates to a 3.0 or higher);
- rank in the highest 35 percent of the graduating class in scholarship;
- meet the expectation of academic integrity.
Graduate students (master's and doctorate) must*
- have completed ¼ (one quarter) of the nursing curriculum;
- achieve academic excellence (at schools where a 4.0 grade point average system is used, this equates to a 3.5 or higher);
- meet the expectation of academic integrity.
*Students in graduate programs who are registered nurses, legally recognized to practice in their country and have a minimum of a baccalaureate degree or the equivalent in any field, shall be eligible to be considered as a Nurse Leader at any point in the program.
